Warm, Dry Weather Helps Ohio Farmer Complete Harvest in Record Time

A soybean farmer in northwest Ohio has completed his 2025 harvest in just nine days, thanks to the region’s unusually warm and dry weather. The favorable conditions allowed fields across both high and low ground to mature at the same pace, leading to one of the fastest harvests in recent years.

The farmer reported variable yields ranging from 35 to 70 bushels per acre. While the dry spell in September accelerated the harvest, a single inch of rain in August might have pushed yields to record levels. Despite the challenges, overall progress remained strong due to the consistent dry weather.
