Seed companies have unveiled their top corn and soybean varieties for 2026, focusing on growers in Michigan, the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and Ohio. Farmers are encouraged to research these options carefully to choose varieties that fit their fields and growing conditions.

American Agriculturist collected recommendations from leading seed companies. For soybeans, Agrigold, Chemgro, LG, Impact, and Zinesto highlighted varieties with strong disease resistance, good standability, and high yield potential across different soil types and environments. Key traits include tolerance to sudden death syndrome, soybean cyst nematode, phytophthora root rot, and other common soybean diseases.

  • G3425E3 (3.4-RM): Mid-group 3 variety with broad adaptability, strong disease tolerance, and consistently high yield potential.
  • G2425E3 (2.4-RM): Performs well in challenging conditions, offering placement versatility, stability, strong yield potential, and excellent tolerance against sudden death syndrome.
  • G2755XF (2.7-RM): XtendFlex mid-group 2 variety with high pH tolerance and protection against brown stem rot, sudden death syndrome, and phytophthora.
  • G3255E3 (3.2-RM): Suitable for both productive and marginal acres, performs well in wet soils, and has attractive harvest-time appearance.
  • G3725XF (3.7-RM): Offers strong defensive traits, particularly against sudden death syndrome, suitable for high-risk fields.

Chemgro:

  • C1959E (1.9-RM Enlist E3): Attractive soybean with good standability and overall agronomic performance.
  • C2859E (2.8-RM Enlist E3): Reliable across all soils, with strong standability and medium-plus plant height.
  • C3759E (3.7-RM Enlist E3): High yield performer in late group 3, upright branching, strong stress tolerance.
  • C4559E (4.5-RM Enlist E3): Medium-sized plants, good standability, strong on frogeye and cercospora.
